Newly Retired

Being newly retired I wanted to create a blog to chronicle my journey. It has been two months since I retired and I am just now creating this blog. What does that say? I have been very busy and haven't spent much time on the computer. Why? Most of my time I spend at the pool enjoying the sun and reading mystery books and talking with friends. Soon the pool will close as Fall nears, promise to write more then. The following poem was presented at the retirement breakfast given in appreciation for service to children by the superintendent.

Keep A Dream In the Making
Keep some little dream in the making, if youth you would like to hold.
Old Father time is defeated by dreams; a dream never grows old.
Though dreams have a way of quickening the heart, and the years pass you by;
You can always tell someone with a dream by the ageless gleam in the eye.
So keep a small dream in the making; it needn't be big or bold;
Just some little dream to beckon you on and you will never, no never, grow old.
